What we do

Free, and they take ten minutes.
Most of the calls we take in a year come down to five things a householder can look at without a tool: the filter, the registers, the thermostat's position, whether the outdoor unit can breathe, and whether the breaker has gone.
We put them on their own page as a step-by-step, one question at a time, and it tells you at the end what you found and whether it is worth a visit. Plenty of people work through it and never ring us. That is the intended outcome.

What can I check before calling you?
Five things, and they take ten minutes without tools: the filter, the registers, where the thermostat sits, whether the outdoor unit can breathe, and whether a breaker has gone. The five checks page walks through them one at a time and tells you at the end whether it is worth a visit.
Will you tell me I do not need a visit?
Regularly. A good share of the calls we take are a filter, an open damper or a setting, and we would rather say so than sell a system. The five checks page exists for exactly that reason.
Is a whole-house humidifier worth it here?
Winter air at this elevation is genuinely dry and a humidifier does raise indoor humidity. It will not fix a draughty house, and pushed too far it puts water on your windows and inside your walls. We will tell you where the sensible ceiling is for your house.
Why does the outdoor coil need cleaning so often?
Cottonwood seed, mostly, and this valley produces a great deal of it. A packed coil cannot reject heat, so the system runs longer and costs more for the same result.
Do you work on commercial premises?
Yes. Shops, suites, clinics and light industrial, with planned schedules and a written record per unit. Economisers are a real part of that work here.
